It has been a thrill to get to know Bernard Schatz this year. Reading his book and meeting him I quickly referred a patient to him crippled by chronic pain. He made a long house call and they reported remarkable changes. Bernard has developed his own system to address pain that I wish our hospital were open so that we could fully test it.
